Step 4 of 12

Disassembly & Blueprinting

The damaged area is disassembled so the full extent of damage is visible, and the complete repair plan is built.

Blueprinting means finding all of the damage before repairs begin, not during. The damaged area is disassembled, hidden damage is documented, and the complete repair plan — parts, procedures, labor — is built against the vehicle maker's repair information.

This is the stage that most often changes the estimate, and where supplements are documented for the insurer.

Let's understand the damage and determine the next step.

Photos are enough to start. A written preliminary estimate, a clear explanation, and no pressure.
