Schedule an appointment
Pick a type, a date, and a time window. A real person confirms every request against the shop's schedule — we never auto-book a slot we can't honor.
Scheduling that respects your calendar
Every appointment type at GEM Collision exists for a reason, and picking the right one saves you a trip. An initial inspection is for damage we haven't seen yet — bring the car, we'll assess it and turn the visit into a written estimate. An estimate review is for going through numbers you already have, including an insurer's estimate you'd like compared against the actual vehicle. Repair drop-off starts the work; post-repair inspection addresses anything you'd like re-checked after delivery; and fleet and dealer consultations are the front door to our wholesale reconditioning program.
We confirm every request personally rather than auto-booking, because a slot the shop can't honor is worse than no slot at all. Requests go in through this page any time; confirmations come back during business hours — Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at our North Hollywood facility.
How to get the most from your visit
For an inspection, arrive with whatever documentation the accident produced: the other driver's insurance details, your claim number if a claim is started, photos from the scene. Fifteen minutes with an estimator beats a week of phone tag. If the damage affects how the vehicle drives — pulling, noise, warning lights — say so when booking; those symptoms change what we look at, and sometimes they mean the car shouldn't be driven at all.
Dropping off for repair? Two keys if you have them, and plan your ride — rental coordination questions are answered honestly in our FAQ. From drop-off forward, the twelve-stage process takes over, with updates as your vehicle moves and a status request available any time in between.
When not to schedule
Skip the appointment entirely in two situations. If the vehicle isn't safe to drive — deployed airbags, leaking fluids, suspension damage — don't drive it here for an inspection; request towing and we'll bring the shop to the car. And if all you need right now is a number to start with, the photo estimate gets you one without moving the vehicle at all. Both paths land in the same place: a documented plan and a scheduled repair.
