Don't drive it if…

Some damage makes driving unsafe or makes the damage worse. Err on the side of the tow truck if you see:

• Deployed airbags
• Leaking fluids under the vehicle
• A wheel sitting at a visible angle, or steering that pulls hard
• Lamps, hood, or body panels that aren't secure
• Warning lights for brakes, steering, or the charging/high-voltage system (EV/hybrid)

Where the vehicle goes

If the vehicle was towed from the scene, find out where — tow yards charge daily storage fees, so moving the vehicle to the shop promptly saves real money. Send us the yard's name and address and we'll help coordinate the transfer, and we'll confirm who performs the tow and how the fees work before anything moves.
