Repair Supplements
Supplements are how hidden damage gets documented and approved after the first estimate. They're normal — here's how the process works.
A supplement is additional repair cost identified after the initial estimate — most often when disassembly reveals damage that couldn't be seen from outside. If your repair has a supplement, nothing has gone wrong. It's the process working as designed.
How a supplement moves
We find the additional damage during disassembly and blueprinting, document it with photos and measurements, and submit it to your insurer for review. The insurer evaluates and responds — approval timelines vary by carrier and can affect the repair timeline, which is one reason we don't promise completion dates before blueprinting.
Coverage decisions remain with the insurer. Our job is to make the documentation so clear that the decision is easy.
What you should do
Usually: nothing. We notify you when a supplement is filed and when it's resolved. If an insurer asks you questions directly, answer plainly and refer them to us for technical detail.
